I look forward to reading more of your stories. BTW, I've read quite a few today, and really loved "World Without Sound, "Aunt Ruby's Drawers" and "Wildwood Flower" very much. I think my favorites are your recollections of the relatives. So sweet.amyleigh2112https://www.blogger.com/profile/09677424543362001709noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-196400899543841587.post-57929982594277189762012-06-11T17:09:12.775-05:002012-06-11T17:09:12.775-05:00Thank YOU, Amy for your sweet comments. It made me think of sitting up late with Grandmama, watching her fall asleep in her recliner, but somehow no matter how long she had (obviously) been asleep, seemed to know exactly what had taken place during that time, always insisting that she had never been asleep, or if she had...just dozed off for a minute. I've thought many times of putting pen to paper to express my love, gratitude and for posterity's sake, but I find it difficult to actually find the words to describe the deep love I have for the wonderful times with them and the country home we knew like our own. This story made me a little sad knowing that I'll never have that again, at least not as a child anyway. Thank you so much for this touching story and my own memories conjured up when I read it. You have such a gorgeous writing ability.amyleigh2112https://www.blogger.com/profile/09677424543362001709noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-196400899543841587.post-34914073939593911592011-10-25T10:57:07.273-05:002011-10-25T10:57:07.273-05:00Thank you, sweetie!Thank you, sweetie!Brendahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13396940884161622626noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-196400899543841587.post-56650101605541652552011-10-25T02:33:04.224-05:002011-10-25T02:33:04.224-05:00Absolutely great job!Absolutely great job!Suzannehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12724792675755603299noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-196400899543841587.post-23614635984571499862011-09-21T21:57:36.842-05:002011-09-21T21:57:36.842-05:00Thank you, Pat. I felt as if I were in the room, experiencing the same things. I have fond memories of dreaming of what I'd buy from the Sears & Robuck Catalog.

I wonder if I will have great children one day who will one day look at me as an "ancient one"?
